Project Status:

• The project remains in the active Right-of-Way acquisition phase, with continued coordination focused on railroad-owned tracts and condemnation preparation. Tract 2 (Norfolk Southern) is being advanced toward condemnation while discussions continue regarding Norfolk Souther's public improvements process and construction agreement requirements. Coordination among the County, right-of-way consultant, and design team has continued to address railroad acquisition procedures, review prior approvals, and confirm appropriate railroad contacts. Updated right-of-way exhibits and revised property documentation are being prepared to support ongoing acquisition activities and future condemnation actions. in parallel, project management efforts have included updates to right-of-way data, railroad coordination, and tax map information to facilitate continued progress toward property acquisition and project implementation.
