Gills Creek Greenway

The scope of this project was identified in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this project, and was based on public and stakeholder input, impact studies, and costs. Phase 2 scope includes approximately two thousand five hundred (2,500) linear feet of a greenway and trail with boardwalks and supporting facilities that extend along Gills Creek from S‐2205 (Crowson Rd.) to S‐407 (Mikell Lane).
Project Status:
- The project is currently advancing through technical review focused on confirming existing field conditions and refining design details in constrained areas. Coordination is ongoing to verify grades and develop cross-sections near the existing transit stop to support a safe and feasible greenway alignment within the established 12-foot trail and 20-foot easement standard. Inter-agency coordination continues to address ROW, utilities, and roadway interface considerations. Updated survey information is being requested to support final design refinement and decision-making. The project remains active, with next steps focused on completing technical analysis and advancing toward final review.
