The proposed descope includes proceeding with Alternate 4 from Shop Road Ext. Ph. 1 to Montgomery Lane. Then allow traffic to continue on Montgomery. Also, perform any needed intersection improvements along Montgomery\Old Hopkins, and improve safety at existing railroad crossing.
Project Status:
A stakeholder meeting for Shop Road Extension Phase 2 was held to discuss the proposed corridor vision from Shop Road to Montgomery Road. A revised corridor alignment—developed from prior stakeholder feedback and engineering analysis—was presented. The design consultant has since been advancing the concept by developing a formal plan set that reflects the proposed alignment, incorporates all relevant design elements, and aligns with stakeholder input and project objectives. Once complete, the plan set will be submitted to SCDOT for review and approval.
