The scope of the proposed neighborhood improvement project was determined in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this project. The project scope was selected directly from the approved Richland County Neighborhood Master Plan and refined based on public and stakeholder input and available funding. The Brookfield Road project begins at Decker Blvd and traverses .66 miles along Brookfield Road. The project consists of adding a 5 ft. sidewalk along Brookfield Road.
Project Status:
- Currently in the right-of-way acquisition phase, the Brookfield Road project has identified several parcels requiring condemnation. The project team is working diligently to secure all necessary acquisitions while maintaining full compliance with legal and regulatory standards, with schedule management serving as a key priority. With acquisition activities complete, the project will have satisfied all remaining prerequisites and will be fully authorized to move into construction, as no substantive design or permitting items are still outstanding.
