The scope of the proposed neighborhood improvement project(s) will be determined in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this project. Project(s) and scope options will be selected directly from the approved Richland County Neighborhood Master Plan and refined based upon public and stakeholder input and available funding.
Project Status:
- The Concept Report for this project was completed on April 8, 2019, and subsequently received approval from County Council in May 2019. In April 2026, preliminary construction plans were submitted to the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) for review. The project is currently in the review phase, and we are awaiting SCDOT’s comments and formal approval of the submitted plans. Concurrently, preparations are underway to support the next steps in project advancement. Upon receipt of SCDOT approval and completion of all required right-of-way acquisition, the project will be fully positioned to proceed into the construction phase. At this time, no additional administrative or design milestones are anticipated prior to the initiation of construction activities.
