Crane Creek Greenway

Project scope is to design a recreational greenway from the Columbia canal diversion dam (headgates) extending north along the west side of the Broad River across Smith Branch, then turn toward the edge of Broad River and continue north along the rivers edge crossing over Crane Creek and terminating just north of Crane Creek. Design a bridge across Smith Branch to carry City of Columbia specified vehicles and pedestrian crossing over Crane Creek.

Project Status:
- Received City of Columbia's Surface Transportation improvement project review process letter. Shall coordinate with FERC to determine if/which permit is required; the contractor must obtain land disturbance, building permit for bridges and boardwalks, and electrical permits from the city prior to construction. Continue coordinating as needed with Project Managers for the Canal Headgates project and the EQ basin on construction timing, bridge use and dismantling, construction staging, and access throughout the project.
