Crane Creek Greenway

Project scope is to design a recreational greenway from the Columbia canal diversion dam (headgates) extending north along the west side of the Broad River across Smith Branch, then turn toward the edge of Broad River and continue north along the river’s edge crossing over Crane Creek and terminating just north of Crane Creek. Design a bridge across Smith Branch to carry City of Columbia specified vehicles and pedestrian crossing over Crane Creek.
Project Status:
- The project has completed design and was re-advertised with revised contractor licensing requirements. Bids were received on August 14, and Procurement has completed its bid review and recommendation for contract award. Alternate bridge over Crane Creek is anticipated to be included in the award. Major regulatory approvals remain in place. Contract award is anticipated following County Council consideration, with construction to begin following award and contract execution.
