The scope of the proposed neighborhood improvement project was determined in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this project. The project scope was selected directly from the approved Richland County Neighborhood Master Plan and refined based on public and stakeholder input and available funding. The Brookfield Road project begins at Decker Blvd and traverses .66 miles along Brookfield Road. The project consists of adding a 5 ft. sidewalk along Brookfield Road.
Project Status:
- The Brookfield Road project is currently in the right-of-way acquisition phase, with several parcels identified for condemnation. The project team is actively working to secure all necessary acquisitions while ensuring full compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards, with schedule management remaining a key priority. Once acquisitions are finalized, the project will have satisfied all remaining prerequisites and will be fully authorized to proceed to construction, as no outstanding design or permitting items remain.
