The scope of the proposed neighborhood improvement project was determined in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this Project. The project scope was selected directly from the approved Richland County Neighborhood Master Plan and refined based on public and stakeholder input and available funding. The Decker Signal Project begins at O'Neal Court and includes traffic signal enhancements at Brookfield Road, Faraway Drive, and Percival Road.

 

 

Project Status:

  • The encroachment permit for the Decker Boulevard traffic signal installation is now under review by SCDOT. Once comments are received, our On-Call Engineering Team (OET) will review and respond to any requested changes. Revisions to the plans are required because SCDOT has already completed several tasks that were originally assigned to Richland County Transportation. The updated plans will reflect SCDOT's work and eliminate any overlap, ensuring that county resources are not duplicated.
