Gills Creek Greenway

The scope of this project was identified in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this project, and was based on public and stakeholder input, impact studies, and costs. Phase 2 scope includes approximately two thousand five hundred (2,500) linear feet of a greenway and trail with boardwalks and supporting facilities that extend along Gills Creek from S‐2205 (Crowson Rd.) to S‐407 (Mikell Lane).
Project Status:
- Currently in the R/W acquisition phase of the project and progressing towards construction plans and obtaining title opinions, appraisals, and contacting property owners. Over the past few months, the County, City of Columbia, COMET, and the project team has been coordinating design alternatives for the Crowson Rd portion of the project between Ft. Jackson Blvd. and Devine St.
