Gills Creek Greenway
District 6
The scope of this project was identified in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this project, and was based on public and stakeholder input, impact studies, and costs. Phase 2 scope includes approximately two thousand five hundred (2,500) linear feet of a greenway and trail with boardwalks and supporting facilities that extend along Gills Creek from S‐2205 (Crowson Rd.) to S‐407 (Mikell Lane).
Project Status:
- The Crowson Rd rendering was submitted to the city. Additional comments were received from the city. City of Columbia will utilize the Crowson Rd rendering to approach Tract 29 (Sasser Brothers) for continued easement discussions. The opinion of appraisal for Tract 8 (Delta Devine) is $754,600. Service order modification is being complied for the redesign of Crowson Rd and the additional utility coordination services for the county's review and approval.
