Gills Creek Greenway

The scope of this project was identified in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this project, and was based on public and stakeholder input, impact studies, and costs. Phase 2 scope includes approximately two thousand five hundred (2,500) linear feet of a greenway and trail with boardwalks and supporting facilities that extend along Gills Creek from S‐2205 (Crowson Rd.) to S‐407 (Mikell Lane).
Project Status:
- The pavement marking alternative has been discussed with Richland County and City of Columbia. A path forward has been determined, and the design team has begun the redesign. Title research, property appraisals, and discussions with property owners for three primary tracts are being finalized. The appraisal for Ms. Gibbons property will be reviewed by the Appraisal Reviewer and/or the County to proceed with acquisition of the property.
