Project Status:

• The project remains in technical design as the project team continues evaluating improvements near Crowson Road and the existing transit stop. During this reporting period, the consultant completed and submitted the additional survey and cross-section information requested by the County. Based on the survey results and subsequent design review, the consultant is developing an engineered concept to evaluate relocation of the existing bus shelter behind the curb within the Egg Roll Chen property while minimizing impacts to existing parking. The evaluation includes grading, retaining wall requirements, utility conflicts, ADA accessibility, drainage considerations, and other site constraints. Coordination with the City of Columbia is ongoing, and the County has provided the conceptual retaining wall and bus shelter layout for review by the City's Engineering and Public Works staff to obtain input as the design advances. Utility coordination continues, and right-of-way needs will be reassessed as design decisions are finalized. The project remains active and focused on completing the technical evaluation necessary to advance the design.
