Shop Rd Extension Phase 2

Project Details:

The proposed descope includes proceeding with Alternate 4 from Shop Road Ext. Ph. 1 to Montgomery Ln. and then allow traffic to continue on Montgomery. Also, perform any needed intersection improvements along Montgomery\Old Hopkins, and improve safety at existing railroad crossing.

Shop Road Widening

Project Details:

The project consists of widening the existing roadway to five lanes (two lanes in each direction with a 13-foot center median) with 5’ bike lanes, curb and gutter, and 5′ wide sidewalks on both sides of the road from the intersection with George Rogers Blvd. toward Mauney Drive for an approximate distance of 2.2 miles. No improvements will be done to the roadway at the intersection with George Rogers Blvd.

Smith Rocky Branch Greenway

Project Details:

The project will extend on the north side of Rocky Branch from Olympia Avenue to the Granby Park greenway. The project will implement bicycle and pedestrian accommodations for approximately four thousand (4,000) LF of greenway with boardwalks and supporting facilities.

Southeast Richland Neighborhood Project (SERN) Phase 2

Project Details:

The Southeast Richland Neighborhood Master Plan includes three projects that are included in the Transportation Penny Program. The three projects are: (1 Multi-use path on Rabbit Run from Garners Park Road to Lower Richland Blvd; (2 Multi-use path on Lower Richland Blvd from Rabbit Run to the High School; (3 Garners Park Road: 2-lane road on new location from US 76/378 (Garners Ferry Road/Garners Ferry Sports Complex to S-2089 (Rabbit Run, approximately 0.5 miles. A fourth project was included to correct an existing drainage problem with Rabbit Run.

Spears Creek Church Rd Widening

Project Details:

The project will consist of potential improvements along the existing roadway from North of the intersection with Two Notch Road (US 1) and just before the westbound I-20 entrance/exit ramps, for a total length of approximately 2.3 miles. From Two Notch Rd to Earth Rd is 3-lane, from Earth Rd to I-20 is 5-lane.

Sunset Drive Sidewalk

Project Details:

Project consists of a 5 ft. wide sidewalk along the north side of Sunset Drive from River Drive to Elmhurst Road.

Three Rivers Greenway Phase 1B

Project Details:

The proposed Three Rivers Greenway Extension Phase 1 project incorporates an 8-foot-wide concrete trail that undulates from I-26 along the Saluda River and continues past Riverbanks Zoo to the confluence of the Saluda and Broad rivers. Features of the greenway will include boardwalks, a maintenance building, security lighting, renovated boat ramp, parking lot, environmentally friendly public restrooms, signage and information kiosks.

Project Details:

The scope of the proposed neighborhood improvement project(s) will be determined in Phase 1 (concept phase) of this project.
