Shop Road Widening
District 10
The project consists of widening the existing roadway to five lanes (two lanes in each direction with a 13-foot center median) with 5’ bike lanes, curb and gutter, and sidewalks on both sides of the road from the intersection with George Rogers Blvd. toward Mauney Drive for an approximate distance of 2.2 miles. No improvements will be done to the roadway at the intersection with George Rogers Blvd.
Project Status:
- Awaiting confirmation from SCDOT that all SCDOT comments have been sufficiently addressed to receive approval for authorization to start acquiring ROW. All title work is complete. ROW agent is waiting on signed ROW plans before beginning to acquire new ROW. ROW staking is ongoing and approximately 60% has been completed.
