Shop Road Widening
District 10
The project consists of widening the existing roadway to five lanes (two lanes in each direction with a 13-foot center median) with 5’ bike lanes, curb and gutter, and sidewalks on both sides of the road from the intersection with George Rogers Blvd. toward Mauney Drive for an approximate distance of 2.2 miles. No improvements will be done to the roadway at the intersection with George Rogers Blvd.
Project Status:
- Authorization for project Right-of-Way is requested from SCDOT. The recent comments have been reviewed and pertain to existing conditions, not new TOW acquisition. therefore, they can be deferred until the final construction plan stage. We aim to integrate these resolutions while minimizing delays to the project schedule. All title work is complete. ROW agent is waiting on signed ROW plans before beginning to acquire new ROW.
